Dr. Seuss Has Better Grammar Than 007

Dr. Seuss has good grammar. As a Grumpy English Teacher&trade this makes me happy. In There’s a Wocket in my Pocket! the good doctor writes, “There is a yottle in the bottle whom I do not wish to keep” (emphasis mine), using the objective case correctly. I was somewhat annoyed, however, to notice that “M” in the new Bond film misuses the subjunctive. Some screenwriter didn’t get A’s in grammar, I can tell you that.

(Of course, I can’t spell…)

Stumble it!
