My Smart Lad
My darlings have been getting up every 2 - 3 hours for the past week. This is pretty frustrating after getting used to a 5 - 6 hour sleep every night, so last night I thought “I’ll go in and pat and rock and see if I can get J. to go back to sleep without food.” Ha. I walked in and he saw me and his face lit up. I patted him and his face promptly fell and got this very worried look on it.
Guess who got fed?
As I walked him from his room to mine I realized I didn’t have a spit up cloth, so I went back to get one and he started to whimper the moment I re-entered his room, then stopped the moment I left it.
This kid knows what he wants and knows where he gets it.

And at some point, you just decide that it’s faster and less time out of bed if you just feed them. We ended up (please don’t tell the pediatrician) feeding the twins at least once at night until 10 months. And then on occasion until 15 months. Then we put up the stop sign, had two nights with crying, and it was over. They sleep through the night now (knock on wood).
Where’s the meme, lady? I came over to see you list
