Breastmilk Cures Cancer. No. Really.
I confess that when the total nut job lactation consultant who taught our utter waste of time breast feeding class said that breastmilk cured cancer, I was fairly sure she was crazy exaggerating. However, it would seem that alpha-lactalbumin, a protein in breast milk DOES shrink tumors in laboratory animals. Human trials using this protein to treat bladder cancer are concluding and “look very good.” They look so good, in fact, that pharmaceutical companies are “developing the activated protein for clinical use.”
