This Cookie Doesn’t Have Sugar, Does It?
I had planned on not giving the kids any sugar. Childhood obesity is a huge problem, healthy eating habits should be instilled young, and so on. Notice what F. is feeding herself? That would be a cookie. Technically, it’s a “teething biscuit”, which is, as far as I can tell, a two word phrase meaning “cookie.” I can’t actually find any “teething biscuits” that don’t have sugar in them. The sugar, however, is organic, unrefined cane juice, which is something. Right? Right? Oh well. The best laid plans of mice, mothers and men…

You do realize that most foods have sugar… including veggies and fruits and other NATURAL food
Without the sugar your body doesnt have any glucose which is fuel for everything ESPECIALLY your brain… but you knew that right? lol
by the way, I miss you and really do plan on sending you a long email at some point lol

I mean added, extra sugar. Sheesh. As in the kind in ice cream and cake and cookies. Since their favorite foods are things like banana and pears and baby carrots they are certainly getting plenty of natural sugars.
I hope you’re OK, sweetie. I worry about you.

Oh, we struggle with this too! We’re doing pretty well, as my little boy LOVES fruit … but we allowed (nibbles of) candy canes over the holidays and he is STILL asking for them! Oh well. You do the best you can.
Found you via Five on the Fifth … I’ll be back!
