Weekend Blog Round Up
Mel at Stirrup Queens is walking in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. My twins weren’t small and I was spared the NICU. Not everyone is so lucky. Mel writes: Our twins were IUGR and had to come out at 33 weeks (almost 34). They spent three weeks in the NICU and came home on heart monitors…that’s why I’m walking this May. Because my son finally hit the big four pound mark when he was about six weeks old due to the excellent care of the NICU staff and advances in medicine supported by the March of Dimes. Go read her post and consider donating.
Snickollet is losing her husband to cancer. I could not love him more, she writes. Right now, life feel so cruel and so unfair. Emmie at Better Make it a Double has created this virtual candle to light for her. Emmie knows “none of us can do a whole lot for her, but we can send her some love. Tonight, I will light a candle for Snickollet and her family. Maybe you can too, and maybe go over and tell her.”
To close with happier news, Sualkin has new photos of her triplets and singleton up. Take special note of the second photo down; yes, that is baby Lily holding her head up, which is something the doctors said she wouldn’t be able to do again. Way to go, Lily.

I’ve been crying all night over at Snickollets. It’s just so sad.
Thank you for including me in the roundup. I’ve been meaning to get more involved in March of Dimes for a while and this seemed like a good first step.

March of Dimes - is a great initiative. I remembered doing it the year I was in America. It was a good excuse to knock on doors and introduce myself to people.
