Alumni Magazine Blurb Meme

After the alumni magazine entry and your responses I have decided to create a meme. Can one do that? Just create a meme? Or is there some meme committee that needs to be consulted?

  1. Write two versions of a blurb to your high school or college alumni magazine. (If your school doesn’t have one, fake it. It’s just a genre.) The first should be the perky kind you always actually read in these things and the second version, well, less perky and more brutally honest.
  2. Tag people.
  3. Link to this post and give me credit for my brilliant meme. Then, of course, if the meme committee gets their noses out of joint that they weren’t consulted, they’ll know where to find me.

Stacie and B are so thrilled that their twins, J and F, just celebrated their first birthday. Everyone who said that after the first year twins are easier was right! They are such a joy to watch as they play with one another and explore their world. She is staying home with the toddlers (toddlers!) and has been able to use this time to develop many interests including gardening and gourmet cooking.

After shoving needles in her ass in order to get and stay pregnant, Stacie was pleased to announce the birth of her twins last year. She is even more pleased to announce that she has survived, albeit barely, their first year of life. She notes that sleep deprivation really is a form of torture and that there is a thin line between picking up Cheerios all day and feeling like she isn’t good for anything other than picking up Cheerios; some days she is on the wrong side of that line. She misses teaching but isn’t ready to put the kids into full-time day care. Rock, meet hard place.

OK, If you are reading this, you are tagged. Get on it and share those alumni notes! Then, leave a comment so I can go read yours…

Stumble it!
