Snow Day
Yesterday it snowed and my main goal today was to get the babies out into the snow to play. It’s good to have small, doable goals. F was very interested in eating the snow but both seemed to have a good time. Then we had grahams. Well, they had grahams.

They are so adorable! I have a hard time making myself take my one toddler out in the snow- so I can’t even begin to imagine doing it with two!

Those were wonderful!
Tell me, did you use a little fill flash or did the snow act like a perfect reflector to even out the light? The lighting is perfect! I love how blue F’s eyes are.
You make me want to chase my eldest in the snow with a camera now!

The light was perfect – it was slightly overcast and then the snow acted as a reflector so there is no fill flash at all. Would that light were always so cooperative.

Stacie,
Could you post some tips on how to get good photos of toddlers? I don’t mean lighting and composition, but how to keep the kiddos from running towards the camera, grabbing it, and getting fingerprints all over the lens every time one is pointed at them? Or is it just my kiddo who does that?

Wonderful shots! I really enjoyed them; thanks for sharing. I got a digital camera for Christmas, so someday I will look forward to including photos on my blog.
