Potty Training - Take One
I have started potty training F. We have potties and Once Upon a Potty. She spent quite a while sitting on the potty this afternoon then peed within minutes of getting off. She has, however, clearly made some connections and after she poops she frowns and points to her diaper and goes to sit on the potty or brings me the Potty book to read. She is currently in her organic undies
and Baby Legs
(and my guess is one cannot have too many Baby Legs during this process if it is winter, the price of heating oil is not low and one lives in the Northeast.) I am pleased I was
too lazy to throw out clever enough to save her cotton diaper covers that I can now use as undies as well as I’ve only had her in underwear for 1:45 and she’s already on her third pair. I mean, there’s doing diaper/underwear laundry every night and then there is doing a diaperesque load twice a day.
Stay tuned for fun filled stories of mopping the floor.

Oooh! Good luck!
Me? I’m going to wait for the high technology, diaper/molecular waste incinerator. You only need one. It washes and dries, too. Has an alarm when it runs out of cleaning fluid and changes size with your baby.
Nanotechnology at its finest.
Where’s a scientific genius when you need one?

how many pairs will you need to send to school ?
how is J doing ?

We have to send 7 pairs per child (for a 3 hour session) and they send the dirties home in a ziplock at night to be washed and returned.
J is not interested thus far which is OK with me. I really wasn’t going to start until they started school but F was so obviously ready and interested that it seemed foolish to wait.

Maybe I’ll blame wall to wall carpeting for not being ready to pottytrain….
Good luck! It sounds like she’s ready to start working on it.

Oh, joy. I think we are going to be involuntarily starting this soon as well. The girls learned to pull their diapers off last night.
