Worst. Diaper. Ever.
The poop filled her diaper. It overflowed up and down her pants. I removed the diaper - a pull up, of course - and she stepped in it, thus taking out her socks. She sat on my lap, getting my pants. Her shirt got stuck to her back, and it got covered in poop as well. She got poop on her hand then patted my hair and shirt with said filthy hand. I should have just hosed her off.
After this I sat them both on their potties. J peed a wee bit in the potty (a first) and I took it away along with the pile of laundry and the diaper from hell. After respectively cleaning, putting in laundry and tossing those things I brought the potty back out and J, still naked from the waist down, looked at it and peed a TREMENDOUS amount right next to it. I tried to move the potty to at least catch some of the stream to no avail.
Fun times.

Yuck! So sorry! We recently had a similar one that got the socks (before any clothing actually came off), all of his clothes, and mom and dad, though all hair was spared.

I do admire you making the effort with all the other stuff you have on your plate. As I said in a comment to an earlier post, I took the line of least resistance and let my daughter make the decision to potty train. I have no idea what I will do with the boys - let them go to high school in their nappies, I suppose. They’re not even 18 months and to them the potty is a boat to be stacked with small plastic dinosaurs. Possibly we should put it away for the moment.
Still, potty training or not, the monster diaper from hell happens whatever you do … stopping feeding them (aka “bonsai babies”) is one option, I suppose.

It’s really not funny, and I can totally relate. But I’m laughing so hard right now I can’t type.
Well, almost.

Oh my god! We have been lucky so far, only one scary diaper yet. I have to say that my first reaction was to want to delay potty training but as another commented pointed out it will happen even when they aren’t learning.

Thanks all.
We’ve been diaper-drama free the last few days. I shouldn’t have typed that. Now they’ll be a blowout at 2AM or something.
