Bitty Updates
We took the kids to church today. They behaved. This priest is not of the “hurry it along in the summer” school of thought so this is especially impressive.
J has a lump on the back of his neck. I took him to the pediatrician. It’s a swollen lymph node. Know why it’s swollen? The toddler-sized bite mark right above it gives a clue.
We rode the carousel horsies again yesterday. And an elephant. And a rhino. There was joy and gladness.
The kids will now drink water out of a steel canteen. The organic juice box expenditures can now be decreased.
You can, in fact, get sick of a Studio Ghibli film. We’ve started letting the kids watch a maximum of 30 minutes per day of very carefully selected television and I just about have My Neighbor Totoro memorized.
F is getting pretty good about using the potty and once or twice per day she will pee in it. J is still surprised by urination.
No, they still don’t sleep through the night.

Yay for drinking water!
My son seems to go in and out of water/juice box habits.
Sigh, it’s true, you never really think to factor juice or other little things like that into daily spending!
I wish we had a carousel like you, it’s gorgeous and sounds like a lot of fun.

My kids were stuck on My Neighbor Totoro for a while. I think about 30 minutes at a time is perfect.

Sounds like things are going well at Chez Twinkie (other than bites, of course).
We have a girl interested in the potty and a boy not, at our house, too.
Ours have never taken to juice. I know it was juice day at daycare when I pick them up because their clothes are changed and I have to use loads of stain remover. They just won’t drink it. I never thought I was saving money that way. They love their water.

I can’t sit through Mass amazing that they can. My older son used to get a lymph node in his neck swollen once in awhile. I’d just keep an eye out and they’ve always gone away. Now the broken hand my 17yo has is not so easy to deal with.
Boys!!!

I gotta agree, sounds like they handle church better than me!

I loved that Totoro movie. And I never knew the name until now haha.

I’m beginning to think that sleeping through the night is overrated. When would I get the chance to catch up on reading blogs if I didn’t get up several times a night?
Yay for drinking water. Mine drink water no problem but won’t drink milk from a cup. I guess once that will come later.
