Today is the feast day of St. Giles, the patron saint of breastfeeding. Apparently he (yes, he) lived a life of such austerity God sent a hind to suckle him so he wouldn’t starve to death.
The legendary founders of Rome nursed from a wolf. The Catholic saint got a deer.

Actually, it would be a neat thing to do a line up of religious nods to breastfeeding.
