Kelly Ripa Lied to Me, the Bitch!
Back in the ancient past I was, for some reason, watching Regis and Kelly on TV. He was teasing her about her shoe collection and she said it was because when a woman got pregnant she didn’t outgrow her shoes.
LIAR!
My feet got at least a size bigger and, after two years, I have to admit they aren’t going to return to their pre-pregnancy size. I had some nice shoes, too.
This was NOT in the fine print. People tell you about the sleep deprivation. They don’t tell you the perfect, comfortable, chic flats it took you ages to find are just not ever going to fit again.

Yeah, but your boobs are probably bigger, too, so that, I think, is a fair trade.

Did Kelly have twins?

My feet got bigger after my first (singleton) pregnancy but stayed at that size after the twins. So not too bad.

She was probably one of those people who put on exactly 12lbs during pregnancy, gave birth to a 7 pound baby, then promptly dieted off 10lbs, for a total loss of 5lbs. REAL people change size and shape when having a baby, more so with twins. Now if only I could find and excuse…

My dear friend, please delete this comment and edit my previous one to read “find an excuse”. Thanks a million. *sigh*

My feet got bigger. My hands got bigger. My boobs ended up smaller & droopier after I weaned. Oh well.

Mine grew 1/4 size when I ran on them barefoot to the point of damaging them in college. I could hardly walk for a week, and they went up a 1/4 size. (Damned karate sempai and my fear of saying no!) I had to wear shoes that were too large for years, since no one makes 8 3/4 for the mass market. Pregnancy weight increased my feet another 1/4 size, so I’m now a solid size 9. I’m thankful for this–I get fewer blisters.
If your old shoes are size 9, you know where to find me.
