We have that rule. In our house, it’s called the high shelf rule: “if you’re fighting over it, it goes on a high shelf and neither of you get to play it.” Also, both Mommy and Daddy get to be a bitch about this one.
The good news is that after a couple of years of this they will no longer come to you fighting over toys, they will work it out between themselves. The bad news is that after a while they get big enough to get the toys down off the high shelves.
