James has a favorite letter
It’s “i”. Not “eye” but “ih”. They learn letters by sounds, not names, at this stage of Montessori and today he ran over to another girl who was spelling out pin with the movable type to announce that “ih” was his favorite letter.
Is that weird?

Nope. As I tweeted to you last night, MJ’s favorite letter is ‘w’. No idea why. She can list at leat 10 things that start with ‘w’ and proudly tells me that a ‘w’ is an upside-down ‘m’.
Kids are just weird.

Jake likes the letter “H”.
And on the subject of W, when he couldn’t say Double U. He’d turn over the flash card or page or whatever showed the letter and say, “no mom, it’s an M”.

So, basically, it is weird in the “all kids are weird” sense, but not in the “your kid is especially weird” sense.
Toddlers. When they aren’t screaming they’re quirkiness is adorable.
