But Where’s the Other Baby?
We were reading “Pup’s Supper” this morning, about a mama otter feeding her pup, and I was pointing out the mama otter and the baby otter and Fiona asked, “But where’s the other baby?”
I explained there was only one baby and she looked and herself and James and said, “But we are one, two.”
Babies come in pairs, you see.

That’s funny! Sanna is fascinated by twins but also slightly scandalized. It’s possible she thought I was pulling her leg when I explained that sometimes a woman (like that one at daycare) has TWO babies at a time.

Jayden said the same thing once. Where’s her other baby? I had to explain that not EVERY sibling gets to have two sisters instead of one.
